About Tricia

New Book UntilSheSaysYes (3)

Tricia Linden writes timeless romance with a touch of magic.

My stories combine my love of romance and spirituality with an added touch of timeless magic. I believe we’ve been here before, and maybe someday, we’ll be here again. We’re here to live, love, and learn from our experiences, and hopefully, if we play our cards right, we get to keep it all with us when we return.

For most of my working life, I was an International Banker and foreign exchange trader. After retiring from banking I had the pleasure of working as a tour guide in San Francisco.

Fun fact: I have a great fondness for Pink Flamingos. Over the years, I’ve gathered a rather large collection of the funky, pink birds.

My two children have grown into amazing adults who fill me with pride, and I am grateful to be living my Happily-Ever-After in Northern California with my partner, dearest friend and soulmate. I believe in life, love and the pursuit of romance.

Life is magical.

We are truly blessed.

Q & A with Tricia Linden.

When and why did you begin writing?   I have always been a big romance reader and suddenly in 2007 I got this urge to write the story I wanted to read. Audacious, yes, but at the time, I was enjoying the bliss of ignorance. I started to write the story just to please myself, I didn’t expect to pursue publishing, but then one thing led to another and I couldn’t stop (the characters wouldn’t let me). In about a year I had a completed novel. It wasn’t ready for publication and there was a LOT I had to learn, but I eventually got the book published and I was hooked. I love this journey as a writer.

Who would be most interested in the books you write? Romance readers who like a little magic with their spirituality (i.e. paranormal time-travel and reincarnation) without too much sex. I’d rate the level of heat in my books as mild to medium. While the characters in my books might have sex if the story calls for it, that’s not all they do.

All of your books have a paranormal element to them. What draws you to “the other side?” I’ve been interested in spirituality for a long time and was looking for ways to include spiritual elements in my romance stories without being heavy handed or preachy. I use magic, time-travel, and reincarnation to represent all the ways spirituality can show up in our lives. Who hasn’t experienced meeting just the right person, finding just the right book, or hearing just the right song at just the right time? The universe has grand designs and I like to look at how these grand designs might play out in people’s lives.

What one piece of advice would you give to beginning writers?  Believe in yourself and the story only you can tell.
